Privacy in plain words

Last updated 2026-10-12

OlympiAce helps children practise for school Olympiad exams in Maths, Science, English, Computers and General Knowledge. Children use it, and a parent or guardian signs in and agrees to this notice. This page says what we keep, why, and how to have it removed.

What we collect

  • The parent's email address (or mobile number, if phone sign-in is switched on), so we can send a sign-in code and recognise the account.
  • The child's nickname, avatar, class and daily goal, which you type or choose in the app.
  • Game progress: finished lessons and stars, XP, gems, hearts, streak, badges and the date a free trial of Plus started.
  • That the parent agreed to this page and to the Terms, the date, and the version they agreed to.

What we do not collect

  • No birth date, school, home address, photograph, or government identity number.
  • No advertising identifiers, and no advertising or tracking of children. We do not show adverts.
  • No payment details. Nothing is bought in this version.

Why we use it

Only to run the app: to sign you in, to keep a child's progress so it follows them to another phone or tablet, to show the right class's questions, and to keep a record of your agreement. We do not sell it, rent it, or use it to make decisions about you.

Who handles it for us

  • Supabase stores accounts and progress and checks sign-in codes.
  • Brevo sends the sign-in emails.
  • Netlify hosts the website.

They handle it only to provide that service to us.

Cookies and storage

We use one cookie, which keeps you signed in. It is needed for the app to work, so there is no cookie banner. The app also keeps the game on the device in the browser's own storage. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking.

How long we keep it

For as long as the account exists. When you ask us to delete the account, we delete the account and the saved progress.

Your choices

You can ask to see what we hold, to correct it, or to delete the account and everything saved for it. Write to privacy@olympiace.com from the email address on the account.

A child can erase their progress in the Me tab at any time. This also erases it from the account.

Changes

If we change this notice we will ask you to read and agree again before the app opens.
